MORE JUNK CAR SERIES
The Automobile of the 1950's was mythical. Small's post-war generation witnessed the rise and fall of a great American manufacturing era and with it, the tragic betrayal of the values and ethics of the middle class who anchored our economy.
In their pitiful decay, these classic automobiles represent the throw-way culture we have all helped create, and the failure of the American promise. We are reminded that, much like these rusty relics, a whole generation of people has been tossed out for junk.
The junkyards of America are a billboard for our present predicament and lost purpose; a generation's optimism shattered and their dreams scrapped by corporate greed and political neglect, in a global economy run amok.
